Queer Abstract
Queer Abstract was a QTPOC Variety Show in Brooklyn, NY hosted and created by Shannon Matesky. From 2017-2020 QA featured over 350 Queer, Trans People of Color artists of all genres. The Fly Honey Show
For the past decade The Fly Honey’s have been heating up Chicago summers. A reimagining of the classic cabaret, The Fly Honey Show is a feminist expression through the body, sex, and self ownership. Created by Erin Kilmurray and presented by The Inconvenience, The Fly Honey Show is now five weekends featuring dance works, comedy, performance art, music, and a 9 piece live band. As one of the original honeys I am a writer for the show, one of the many makers, and have also performed as one of the Hive.
Brave New Voices
Brave New Voices is an International Teen Poetry Festival hosted by Youth Speaks Inc. which happens annually in the late summer. With a rotating host city, I was able to produce our inaugural year in Atlanta, Georgia in 2015. Featuring over 30 guest artists, 600 participants, and held all over Atlanta including Emory University, The Fox Theater, and The Alliance.
